Gadgets Galore

It’s almost October again (in fact it’s tomorrow), and boy time sure goes by. Apparently that’s not a good sign for my assignments and projects. Even though during the mid-semester break I managed to get one assignment done (yep, I spent the whole week just to finish ONE freaking assignment because the lecturer is pretty much annoying), I still have many more assignments to go. I wish I hadn’t taken that Advanced Java subject, but hey, I’m not going to back down now. If you’re already wet, might as well play in the rain, wouldn’t you?

So yesterday I went to sleep a bit early, since I had a meeting with my team earlier this morning. And somehow I managed to get up early as well, which is a surprise for me, considering I love sleeping so much I can’t live without it……well, actually you can’t live without sleeping. Anyways when I got up I go straight to my semi-desktop laptop, and start looking in the Logitech’s website. I didn’t know what the heck is wrong with me suddenly opening their page anyway, but I stumbled across a mouse which made me drool…well, almost, but this mouse is another gadget that I got to have.

Well before I got out to tell what that mouse is, I’ll state the obvious, I AM a gadget guy. That means I have a lot of gadgets in my room than an average guy has. A black 2.0MP webcam, a black 2.1 speakers (also a black 2.0 speakers, not used anymore), a black wireless keyboard, a black wireless mouse (and another one is blue, so I got two), a black powered USB hub, a black 22-inch HD monitor, a black USB headset, a black Sony VAIO laptop, a black PS3, a black PDA phone, a black iPod Nano 4G and a black Nintendo DS Lite. And the list goes on to other small things that I won’t be able to mention here. Most of them are Logitech, and why Logitech, you say? It’s because they have a good design and the functionality itself is more than decent. The drawback is, however, it is quite costly compared to other similar technologies. And the other thing you might ask is, why the heck it’s all black? Well, simply because black is elegant. LOL.

I don’t mean to boast the number of gadgets that I have in here, but I want to say that the gadgets that I have probably is more than enough for a single human being to manage. And apparently because I’m not that human anyway, I can manage more of them. So here I am, wanting the new Logitech wireless mouse, with a unifying receiver (you’ll get the pictures later on). The latest mouse from Logitech features the Darkfield technology. To put it simply (because I know most of people don’t care about the technical stuffs anyways), this new mouse can be used in a glass surface. Yep, you read that right. A GLASS surface. Finally, a mouse that can be used with those IKEA glass tables! And for those who thinks that what’s so cool about that, try your optic or laser mouse in a glass surface. I’d be surprised if you even managed to select a single paragraph from this post without any difficulties.

Logitech Anywhere M905 Wireless Laser Mouse. This is the one that makes me drool. Well, not literally. Logitech Performance M950 Wireless Laser Mouse. I have the similar one, the MX1100 one. Logitech Unifying Receiver. I think it’s a brilliant idea, as long as you don’t accidentally swallow it

The price, however, is not so friendly. It costs around A$149.95 for the normal wireless mouse, and around A$199.95 for the performance mouse. Well, that’s to be expected, considering it IS a laser mouse and it can be used in glass surface, moreover it IS a wireless mouse. Besides, it got the unifying receiver. What the heck is that, you ask? Well, to put it simply, it is a small receiver (about the size of a small coin) which can be programmed as a receiver for up to 5 other Logitech wireless gadgets. Anyway, I’m starting to become like a salesman here, so I might as well conclude this post. I’ll get the mouse for sure, it’s worth the price. Oh yeah, that said, in the next post I’ll post up how I change my HDD last month. So see you next post!
