Updated Scans for Pokemon Platinum

The third Pokemon 4th generation game rumor, Pokemon Platinum is somehow confirmed (not 100%, just somehow..) by this screenshot. There are several debates and ongoing discussion on most forums about:

• The naming convention. As what most people know, Giratina is the third counterpart of Dialga and Palkia, which most people believed that it is based on the girasol, AKA the fire opal. Thus the third game is supposed to be Pokemon Opal (or Girasol). However, the Japanese name of the game Pokemon Platina is in rhyme with Giratina. The Japanese spelling of Platina is pu-ra-ti-na.
• There is a speculation considering the naming. As the naming takes a metal rather than a precious stone, it could have something to do with Johto region, due to the Pokemon Gold and Silver takes the naming from metals. This is however, was debunked as the third installment of 2nd generation game is from a precious stone, Pokemon Crystal.
• The new forms. Some said that the availability of Giratina “Origin Form” was due to the 11th Pokemon movie, Giratina and the Bouquet of the Sky: Shaymin. According to the movie, Shaymin should have a “Sky Form”, as the bouquet of the sky is referring to Shaymin. Another evidence is that there is now a trademarked name for “Sky Form” and “Land Form” in the same time as the “Origin Form” and “Another Form” was trademarked. This contradicts the rumor that Shaymin has the Ice-type like form and Regigigas has the “Sky Form”.
• There is an ongoing discussion about how the levitated and Flying-type Pokemon will not have ground attached to them in battles. This however is not confirmed yet and is just a speculation.
• There is also an ongoing discussion about the role that will be given to Volkner since he is not the Sunnyshore City gymleader anymore. Some said that he will be the next champion, following on what Pokemon Emerald has done to Wallace. Some said that he will be the new battle frontier-like island leader.
